WHAT WE LOVE ABOUT THIS PROPERTY:
You’re up high looking over the river with some good privacy features. The cabin has spacious ceiling heights and feels light and airy. Bedrooms are at opposite ends of property and the master bedroom on the riverside has an ensuite tiled walk-in shower. Large lawn gently slopes down to the river’s edge where if the levels are right, you can cast your line there.

ABOUT THE WATER:
This river is very cold and swift even in August. (Makes for great cool breezes on summer evenings). It is tail waters from two dams and levels fluctuate daily. You may or may not be able to easily stick your toes in the water. Anglers' and Jack's Resort rents John boats and trout guide services economically. Boats can take you to confluences of other creeks where you can swim. Really fun!

Property is paved all the way to the door. There are gently graded steps to enter the unit - see photos. It is about 10 minutes from our world class Blanchard Caverns Recreation area and OK Trading Post with horse trail riding.. It is 5 minutes from Angler's restaurant/ Fishing guide services and 10 - 15 minutes from shopping, medical, and food in the town you're going to fall in love with, MOUNTAIN VIEW ARKANSAS.
Other area attractions include North Sylamore Creek Access, Ozark Folk Center State Park, Loco Ropes Course (tree top adventures), Arkansas Craft School - all within about 15 minutes.

~ 1000 SF, sleeps up to 6; 1 queen, 2 twins and one full size sofa bed in common area
~ kitchen with full size appliances, drip coffee maker, microwave, cookware, dishes, and cooking utensils
~ open front porch with propane grill, lounge seating and a dining table for 4-6.
~ 2 full baths
~ full size washer and dryer on ground floor accessed from outside
~ wifi via DSL - about 3MB - enough to stream movies
~ cable TV ; and smart TV for streaming Netflix, Hulu, Youtube or thousands of other options with your logins.
~ so so cell phone signal here - can also enable wifi calling on your smart phone

Max 3. We love dogs! They are welcome here for an additional fee of $85 for up to 3 dogs - a flat fee for the duration of your stay.

All properties are self check-in – with key code – after 4pm. Check out is 11. Confirmed guests received our self-penned "local's guide" to the area! Email you provide is important. We send welcome and access info there. Check your spam, please. Taxes and clean/supply fees are always required as is a processing fee that varies depending on who you are booking through.
We cannot accept CANCELLATION variances due to personal reasons or area attraction closures. If we are mandated to close our rental operations, you will be refunded 100% or given the option of credit for future reservation good for 12 months.
1. We've lowered the down payment to reserve from 50% to 15%. IT IS NON-REFUNDABLE.
2. If you need to change your reservation due to COVID related government mandates, we will apply your monies paid towards future reservation good for 12 months from booking date.
3. If you prefer to just cancel, we will retain your monies paid according to the policy timeline, refunding the remainder. We always refund 100% of cleaning and pet fees
4. Please note that 3rd party sites like airbnb have different policies in effect. Please read their fine print.
5. Airbnb has an agreement with the state of Arkansas to collect and remit sales tax. For all other bookings, we collect and remit applicable sales taxes as required for all fees associated with a reservation.

My husband and I stayed here for 5 days and it served well for our much needed retreat. We spent most of our time at the house since it was clean, comfortable, spacious and well equipped. The deck was my favorite location to bird watch or just watch the river go by. We definitely recommend the property and would actually love to return for a stay with our daughter.

The place was clean and we were all blown away with the beauty of this location. There are a couple of restaurants close by, and if these two aren't enough, you are just around 5 miles to Mountain View where there are more options and entertainment. The old swinging bridge is 1.5 miles away and it is owned by Angler's Resort. We paid $5 for each of them and they could swim and fish at the Sylamore creek which they did. Just a great time by all and we would definitely stay here again. Thank you!!

It is about 18 minutes from Blanchard Springs Caverns and was easy to locate using the directions from the owner. (GPS acted a little weird as they said it would.) We only got to stay a couple nights because of work, but will definitely be back. There are tons of hiking trails as well as horseback riding and zip lining available within a 20 minute drive. I highly recommend this property!

Seamlessly he plucked his meal from the river then took perch on the opposite bank to enjoy his breakfast. What a perfect ending!

There are two bedrooms and actually I think there were two pull out couches but we only had to use 1. We couldn’t figure out how to use the heater so ask in advance because it blows hot and then it stops working (probably because of the settings they have automated). My father-in-law had never been to the countryside in the US and he was blown away by the spectacular views. The house was super clean- cleaner than the Hilton we had stayed at the night before and there are extra blankets in the drawers. Make sure you bring any food items- they have a full kitchen. Be aware that you do need to bring the towels downstairs to the laundry before you leave- that was the only semi-negative about the property because with a cleaning fee, that seemed like it should not be something you need to do but I get it, they want it to be ready on time for the next person and it seems this property is popular. Overall, a great stay, we will definitely consider coming back another night when we are in town.

The cabin was also a site to see it is beautifully decorated and we loved the huge kitchen and open room design. We were sad and hated to leave this beautiful escape. Caught a few trout from the bank outback. Went to Mirror Lake and limited out with my grandchildren and their first fishing trip that they will never forget. The owners were so nice and helped us through the whole process that was very easy. Nice and quiet community couldn't ask for anything better. You will not be disappointed.

The place is much larger than we expected and very open. We had never been to area before and found the email that was sent to us regarding local attractions from the host to be super helpful. We had our dog and 4 year old with us. The location and accommodations were all extremely kid and pet friendly. I’ll add a couple notes that I have not seen in previous reviews. The Wing Shack in Mountain View had really good food and super friendly service. Plus the kids meals come with free ice cream. There are several really nice disc golf courses in the area. This was a complete surprise to us but one we took full advantage of. Be sure to bring your discs. We didn’t have any issues with cell phone service at the cabin both Verizon and Sprint and worked fine for us. The internet is on the slow side. It’s adequate for some light streaming and basic email and web surfing. If you are planning to work remote from this place you may not have the best experience. I’m always on the lookout for places I could potentially work from remotely. This in no way impacted our stay and is more of an FYI for those that may have higher bandwidth needs. :-).

Every morning there was low fog on the cliffs, the perfect thing to take in while enjoying a cup of coffee. The house itself is one long corridor, with both the main room and master bedroom ending in a wall of floor-to-ceiling windows that look out over the deck, over a sloping downhill field, onto the river and cliffs. The deck is covered, with a propane grill and some really nice outdoor seating. In the field below there’s a small fire pit, some level ground right at the river to sit or fish. We also enjoyed walking around the neighborhood, and the quick drive to the grill across the river. Of all the houses in the area, this was the tallest and had the best covered deck space we saw!

We have not travelled in this pandemic until now, we wanted something that felt like a getaway, yet not over crowded, with hopefully nicer weather than what was at home. This met our needs. The tranquility of the river at the yard edge was peaceful, the sunshine that graced us on the deck warm and relaxing. The home itself is welcoming, extremely clean and equipped. We actually only ate out twice, Wings and Snacks and Tommy’s Famous Pizza. We enjoyed ice cream in the park, and got to enjoy some musicians that were playing. We spent some time around Mirror Lake, and found easy to manage trials. One afternoon we made the short, curvy drive to Melbourne, some amazing scenic sites, I would imagine during fall are shockingly beautiful. If you are looking for a place to slow down, breath, and just enjoy family time the Upper Deck is the place!!
