No neighbors, no light pollution...nothing but you and the woods. Some of us think the back screened porch is the highlight, others say the native stone wood-burning fireplace is theirs. All you wanted was a cabin in the woods with fiber optic wifi? Found it. With style. Blanchard Cabin in the Woods is a classic Ozark getaway situated on 10 private acres and enveloped by National Forest. It is totally private and nestled in the woods, but convenient to all area attractions and minutes from the town of Mountain View.

PROPERTY LOCATION & ACCESSIBILITY:
Property is accessed from paved Hwy 14. Driveway is mildly sloping gravel. It is about 5 minutes from our world class Blanchard Caverns Recreation area and OK Trading Post with horse trail riding. It is 10 minutes from Angler's Restaurant/ Fishing Guide Services and 10 - 15 minutes from shopping, medical in the town you're going to fall in love with, MOUNTAIN VIEW ARKANSAS. Some other area attractions include North Sylamore Creek, Ozark Folk Center State Park, Loco Ropes Course (tree top adventures), and Arkansas Craft School - all within about 15 minutes.
PETS:
Max of 3 small approved doggies ONLY > please contact Ivy Vacations for prior doggie approval. It will be $85 for up to 3 dogs - a flat fee for the duration of your stay.
*Heads up: sometimes your fur babies are not included in your quote on certain booking sites! Please send us a message to let us know your pup(s) will be accompanying you during your stay. - flat rate. See further rules in the rental agreement. All properties are self check-in – with key code – after 4pm. Check out is 11. Confirmed guests received our self-penned "local's guide" to the area! Email you provide is important. We send welcome and access info there. Check your spam, please. Taxes and clean/supply fees are always required as is a processing fee that varies depending on who you are booking through.
We cannot accept CANCELLATION variances due to personal reasons or area attraction closures. If we are mandated to close our rental operations, you will be refunded 100% or given the option of credit for future reservation good for 12 months.
1. We've lowered the down payment to reserve from 50% to 15%. IT IS NON-REFUNDABLE.
2. If you need to change your reservation due to COVID related government mandates, we will apply your monies paid towards future reservation good for 12 months from booking date.
3. If you prefer to just cancel, we will retain your monies paid according to the policy timeline, refunding the remainder. We always refund 100% of cleaning and pet fees
4. Please note that 3rd party sites like airbnb have different policies in effect. Please read their fine print.

The stove did not work. They had a note about how to get it to work because of a “safety feature” but it would just cut off. It was not a real problem on this little 2 day trip but if we came for a normal trip we would want to cook for sure.

Wonderful gem in the Blanchard Springs area! This cabin is even more beautiful in person than in the pictures. It was spotlessly clean, private, and the surrounding woods were absolutely stunning. We had deer in our yard while we ate breakfast, and ssee more

We had deer in our yard while we ate breakfast, and spotted a Peregrine Falcon one afternoon! The hosts are friendly and responsive and made us feel right at home. The fire-pit was wonderful and we enjoyed many games of chess with the wooden chess set. The location is perfect if you want to go horseback ridingvisit Blanchard Springs. We hope to return and visit again sometime! Our only note for other guests is that if you're city slickers like us, you might bring your own pillows and blankets. We're used to fluffier/softer bedding and regretted not bringing our pillows along. But this cabin is well worth the visit and we can't wait to come back!

This property is located on about 10 wooded acres with excellent privacy, yet only about 50 yards from the highway. The cabin is clean, well-appointed, and the host is responsive. It doesn’t have any T-Mobile coverage, so take that into account (which some consider a good thing). Unsure about the coverage of other phone providers. There is WiFi but it is extremely slow (again, some may consider this a good thing). There is a screened in back porch that my whole family really enjoyed. There is only one bathroom, so factor this in if your party is multi-family.

It’s close to Blanchard Springs, easy to get to Mtn View. The screened in back porch was super nice! We had some issues with the power flicking due to the power company cutting some limbs and they offered to accommodate us by moving us to another onesee more

This stay was everything we were hoping it would be. The cabin is absolutely beautiful. We spent the entire first night and second day and night there without leaving. Sitting on the back porch listening to the bugs and tree frogs sing at night was incredibly peaceful and relaxing. It rained for most of three of the days we were there, so we decided to spend most of them relaxing in the cabin playing games and sitting on the porch. The cabin was perfectly clean and they provide pretty much everything you would need other than food. We did stop at the grocery store in town before settling in at the cabin for some food and condiments for our stay. The kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans, silverware and dishes. The only thing we needed but didn't have there was a flat pan of some sort to reheat some food we got at the Mexican restaurant in town the one night. We picked up a disposable aluminum pan at Walmart for that. The area around the cabin is gorgeous. The property itself is off the road and secluded. No one else in sight. The lot is wooded and very pretty. There are too many beautiful places in the area that are a short drive away to list. The natural beauty is amazing. Town is close enough for a quick drive in to get supplies but far enough that you are still secluded. The property managers were great. They answered all my questions before we left home for the cabin and responded promptly to all of them. They sent a list of area attractions before we got there that was very helpful. They also sent me a list of suggestions of things we might want to bring with us to the cabin to enhance our stay that was also very helpful. I did ask them for that, so if it's your first time staying at the property, I would ask for recommendations from them. They might mention something you didn't think of. I didn't need to contact them for anything during our stay because the cabin is very well equipped and maintained and I brought the few things we wanted that weren't provided. They do have a smart TV in the cabin if you want to log into your streaming services and watch while you are there. I can't recommend this place enough. It was wonderful. I would definitely stay again.

This was a PERFECT place. We had two kids with us-a 6 yo and a 2 yo. They both loved it as well. The cabin was very well set-up and we were able to sleep on the back porch on the futon. The whip-or-wills kept us up a little-but that was pretty cool. see more

There were, thank goodness, marshmallow roasting sticks! We enjoyed a fire in the fire pit and sitting on the porch. It was also very conveniently located by Blanchard Springs, OK Trading Post, and the Ozark Folk Center State Park- all of which we highly recommend. We have already started talking about going back! Thank you!

It is so close to town, yet far enough away that you feel you are truly on vacation and away from the hustle and bustle. The hiking trail in the back of the property was great and we felt like we had our own retreat. Close to Blanchard Springs Caverns and the Ozark forest is in your backyard!

The location is convenient for travel and close to hiking in the National Forest, town of Mountain View, and other activities, but quiet (no neighbors in sight and great stars on a clear night!). We thoroughly enjoyed the indoor wood burning fireplace and outdoor fire ring. Communication was excellent and check-in/check-out was easy. We would definitely stay again!

There are plenty of sticks and limbs that we gathered for the fire pit. The stars reminded me of my childhood, when it was just moonlight and starlight. The beds in the bedrooms are so very comfortable. The kitchen has everything we needed for our stay. We enjoyed both of the porches and we hiked the gentle trail through the woods in the back. The location is very convenient for nice restaurants, and visiting Mountain View. It met and exceeded our expectations!

We are from the country and she had to give up her wood burning stove a couple of years ago, so this was a treat for her. The cabin was nice, clean and cozy and stocked with everything we needed. This was first time visit. It was clean and cozy. It was just a get away for my mother and I. She is 97 and enjoyed the fire in the fireplace and all the nature around. We are from the country in Louisiana but this reminded us of what it used to be. Nice and quiet. Thanks again for all the hospitality. The ladies in the Ivy Rental Office were great.

Enjoy! The crew of 4 of us had a great stay in the cabin in the woods. We noticed the sign about the cats had quit. Catching the snack thieves, and blocking their entrance made for a few chuckles. I guess we had better endurance than the cats. We raksee more
Enjoy! The crew of 4 of us had a great stay in the cabin in the woods. We noticed the sign about the cats had quit. Catching the snack thieves, and blocking their entrance made for a few chuckles. I guess we had better endurance than the cats. We raked the front yard and burned the leaves, but the wind just replaced them. We have gave in and let them pile up again. Replaced the outdoor light bulbs that were out, we used the new LED bulbs we found in the cabin, which made using the nice gas grill better. The washer and dryer were a nice addition to use, doing our laundry will make the wives happy, and everyone knows ""happy wife happy life"". The seclusion of the cabin was nice, along with the viewing stands nearby. We just wish some wildlife would have shown up, deer especially. The local folks were pleasurable to visit with, and they shared insight and great stories of the area. The forest gave us great hiking and views. Some deer, hogs, moma bear and cub, gray squirrels, opossum and a plethora of birds 1 Eagle, crows, finches, and etc. gave some entertainment. The greatest laugh, strangest sight, and biggest frustration happened in the forest. Someone walking the mountain bike trail all the while using a leaf blower to clear the trail, this providing a forest area during hunting season with no deer for quite some time. Sorry for the rabbit trail of a story, you wanted a review of the cabin. Here goes, the lot of us mentioned if and when we are in the area, we'll check with you first. We almost bought this cabin years ago when it was first built. I was so happy to be able to stay in it for our vacation. The cabin was everything I thought it would be and more. We came for some down time so I enjoyed reading the books that were provsee more
We almost bought this cabin years ago when it was first built. I was so happy to be able to stay in it for our vacation. The cabin was everything I thought it would be and more. We came for some down time so I enjoyed reading the books that were provided while my hubby hunted on the forest nearby. It was a short drive to town where we met friends at Jo Jo’s and enjoyed the best catfish supper! We are already making plans to reserve those same cabin for 2021!

It was a good stay until I was awakened the last morning at 4:30 am by a mouse stuck in a glue trap under bed side table. It moved the blue trap around trying to get loose and got my phone cable glued to trap as well. Needless to say I could not get see more

Other than that early morning wake up and the loss of my favorite extra long phone charger, the stay was fantastic- we loved the fire pit and screened porch.

We thoroughly enjoyed our two-night stay. Cabin was very clean and we were impressed with the new appliances and abundance of towels and linens and portable chairs. A/C and hot water worked great. Location is very convenient for hiking and swimming near Blanchard Springs and Gunner's Pool. Catfish lunch at nearby JoJo's (overlooking the White River) was also excellent. Internet was fast enough for streaming videos the whole time.

We loved our stay at the Blanchard Cabin in the Woods. What did we love? *The location was perfect for us (15 minutes to many of the trails & to the town with food & groceries). It also was a nice property. We felt secluded. *The cabin itself. It isn't huge, but for 2 adults & a toddler it was plenty spacious. I thought it was even nicer than the pictures showed. We loved the back screened in porch. *Noting this about the master bedroom bed - some had said it was really hard & that made us nervous before booking. We had no issues with the bed. Found it plenty comfy (not sure we'd say the same about the twin beds, but we only sat on them & didn't sleep on them. Our toddler had a pack n play. *The wifi was pretty solid. *The place was very clean, though there was an incident with some wildlife getting into the cabin (in a trap), that feels somewhat expected when you're in the middle of the woods. Ivy Vacations took care of the issue for us promptly. *The service was great. Very helpful & responsive during the entire process booking to checkout. Shay even provided a tip that led us to our favorite hike of the vacation. What didn't we love? *Nothing that isn't super nitpicky. The kitchen supplies were a little hit or miss (though this might also be an issue of us not looking hard enough for something) compared to other places we've stayed. It had all the essentials though. But nothing that impeded the time there. So...nitpicky.

I would've given 5 stars if the master bedroom bed was even halfway comfortable. It was like sleeping on bricks. My Husband and I woke up hurting every morning. On the flip side, it was amazing. They thought of everything! From a waffle maker, to boasee more

From a waffle maker, to board games, netflix, to laundry pods, dishwasher pods, towels just for swimming, chairs, ketchup and mustard in the fridge and so much more.... the description they gave on the website did not give this cabin justice. It just needs a comfortable place for couples to sleep.
